August began with all the buzz around the Paris Olympics; in the middle of it all, celebrities and their horological choices, spotted at other events, captured our attention as well. Shah Rukh Khan was spotted wearing a stunning Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. This Patek Philippe Aquanaut Time Travel model features a black embossed dial with luminous white numerals, housed in a classic stainless steel case. It is referred to as the Time Travel model because it features complications like dual time zones with day/night indicators, making this timepiece the perfect companion for your trips.

Abhishek Bachchan is known for his love for horology. He was previously an ambassador for Omega and still swears by the Swiss brand. At the Paris Olympics, he was seen wearing an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch in black ceramic and with red accents. The highlight of the watch is its unidirectional rotating black-and-red ceramic bezel, nicknamed the Coke bezel, as it echoes the colours of Coca-Cola. The watch runs on Omega Calibre 8906, an automatic movement that offers an impressive 60-hour power reserve. The watch is also water-resistant for up to 600 metres and is equipped with a GMT, second time zone, co-axial escapement, and chronometer function, along with hour, minute, seconds.

At the Paris Olympics, Omega’s global brand ambassador Daniel Craig made a special appearance; he was spotted wearing a new Omega timepiece. The James Bond actor’s watch created quite a buzz at the Games. Omega revealed that the watch would be launched later this year.

The Academy Award-winning actor has been an Omega ambassador since 2005; in fact, she is considered one of the brand’s longest-serving icons. She is often seen wearing vintage Omega timepieces on the red carpet. At the Games this month, she wore the Omega De Ville Prestige timepiece for the watchmaker's Her Time event. This 34 mm 18 ct Sedna™ Gold model has a diamond-paved bezel, while its dial is crafted from white mother-of-pearl. The display is distinguished by the PVD Sedna™ Gold-coloured hands as well as the alternating Roman numerals and diamond markers that are set in 18 ct Sedna™ Gold holders.
