Auguste Agassiz founded Longines in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, in 1832. Since 1983, the company has been a part of the Swiss Swatch Group and iis among ts forerunners. The oldest continuously used trademark is its winged hourglass logo, which was registered in 1889.
