Tissot Launches 7 New Watches As Part Of Its Chemin des Tourelles Collection 2023

Tissot has just unveiled the new Chemin des Tourelles collection for 2023. If you are wondering what the name of the collection can possibly signify, here’s what you should know. Tissot's Swiss headquarters at Le Chemin des Tourelles in the watchmaking town of Le Locle was established in 1907, with a tradition that was defined by ambition, devotion, innovation, timeless design and a forward-looking spirit.

The collection plays to Tissot’s strengths, offering a finely-made timepiece with classic design cues backed by modern technology

While the famed collection has featured gold PVD models and bi-colour editions in the past, the new watches focus on stainless steel, rose gold PVD or bi-colour cases. Each has a round case with a smooth, curved bezel, surrounding a domed sapphire glass. Common to all watches in the collection are the white background and the black numeral date window at 6 o’clock. Also, the collection gets a new Powermatic 80 movement with the Swatch Group’s Nivachron™ balance spring, providing the Tissot Chemin des Tourelles collection with an 80-hour power reserve.

The 2023 rendition of this chic-classic design features subtle improvements that draw upon the brand’s enduring reputation for elegance, practical luxury and sheer watchmaking prowess.

The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles collection gets more detailed in the dials, which come in an array of styles, materials, colours and textures — this is true for all seven watches. There are soft sunray brushed dials with baton indexes, a pair with Roman numerals set on a Clous de Paris ring and one with a mother-of-pearl disc at the centre. The slimline hour markers are curved, gently faceted and the hands are sandblasted and polished.

A generous sapphire crystal dome enhances the timepiece’s durability, while providing a clear, non-reflective view of the dial’s minute detailing.

Ref. T139.407.16.261.00 has a 42 mm case with a sunray brushed dial in champagne colour, featuring gold PVD baton hour markers. Ref. T139.807.11.061.00 has a 39 mm case with a sunray brushed dial in dark grey with baton hour markers. Ref. T139.807.16.041.00 comes on a 39 mm case with sunray brushed dial in blue with baton hour markers while Ref. T139.207.11.031.00 has a 34 mm case with sunray brushed dial in light grey sporting baton hour markers. The more luxurious Ref. T139.207.16.111.00 has a 34 mm case with a mother-of-pearl dial with baton hour markers.

The Chemin des Tourelles watches come in 34 mm, 39 mm and 42 mm case sizes, catering to those who prefer a larger presence on their wrists and are available in all-steel, rose gold PVD or a steel and rose gold PVD bi-colour finish.

On the other hand, both 39 mm Ref. T139.807.11.048.00 and 34 mm Ref. T139.207.11.048.00 have the same Clous de Paris rings on the dials in blue, with Roman hour markers. The dial for 34 mm is slightly different — take the absence of a Roman ‘XI’ o'clock below the date window on the model.

The interchangeable quick-release straps come in a variety of colourful leather and metal finishes, allowing a workday classic to instantly transform into the perfect dress watch with minimal effort.

The new Tissot Chemin des Tourelles collection comes with an impressive range of leather straps — five-link brushed and polished stainless steel bracelets and five-link brushed and polished bi-colour bracelets. Turning the watches over showcases the skeleton casebacks with stainless steel oscillating weights.
