Tissot Brings the NBA Court to a Sandblasted Steel Dial on a 42 mm Chronograph

Tissot has added a new watch to its NBA line, and it is notably quiet. There are no team colours and no oversized logos. The Supersport NBA is grey from dial to strap, finished in matte steel and drawn from technical sportswear, and the culture around basketball rather than from the scoreboard. It suits a partnership of this standing, one in which Tissot serves as the league's Official Timekeeper and has little left to prove through volume.
The match has always made sense. Tissot has kept time since 1853 in Le Locle and has built its sporting reputation alongside the NBA, MotoGP™ and Tour de France. The NBA, with games reaching 214 countries and territories, brings a language of lines, rules and clocks that translates readily to a dial.

A Fusion of Sport and Watchmaking
The 42 mm case is in sandblasted stainless steel, with the same matte finish carried across the bezel and pushers. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflecting coating covers a matte grey dial fitted with standard indexes, while Super-LumiNova® indexes and hands keep it legible in low light. A grey rubber strap completes the monochrome scheme and is mounted on Tissot's interchangeable Quick Release system, so it can be swapped without tools.
Powering it is a Swiss-made G10 quartz chronograph movement, a sensible choice for a watch meant to be worn hard. It offers accurate timing and dependable chronograph function without adding bulk.
The basketball detail attracts keen looks. White dashed markings on the dial follow the lines of a court, and the date window is shaped like the key beneath the basket. The NBA logoman sits at the centre as the second hand, the edition's signature touch. Around the dial, a dedicated 24-second bezel nods to the shot clock rule that shaped the modern game. Turn the watch over and the special NBA case back is engraved with the Eastern and Western Conferences, a detail only the wearer will see.

A Chronograph for Collectors and Fans Alike
What makes the Supersport NBA convincing is its discipline. Every reference ties to the game, and none is there merely for effect. Collectors get a well-proportioned steel chronograph in an unusually cohesive palette, while basketball followers get a watch that honours the sport without announcing it. It is a confident addition to Tissot's NBA collection, and a fine example of how a sporting partnership can produce something genuinely considered.
