Oris Introduces the Latest Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph
Oris has just launched a fresh version of the mid-century-inspired Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph, the brand’s best-selling retro diver’s watch. With a monochromatic dial design and a 40 mm case, the new model seems to be taking on a more updated and refined look, compared with its predecessors. GMT India takes a closer look at the latest novelty.
The watch offers utmost versatility with its strap options, which include a stainless steel bracelet (Ref. 0177177914054-0762001) and a black leather strap (Ref. 017717791 4054-0782018), crafted from sustainably sourced deer leather by Oris’s Swiss partner, Cervo Volante.
Earlier this year, Oris gave a cotton candy makeover to the Divers Sixty Five Range. With the new Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph, the luxury watch brand has revived the timeless design. The base design is reminiscent of the brand’s first diver’s watch that made its debut in 1965. The piece was visually pared-back yet highly competent and it reflected a time when recreational diving was becoming increasingly popular. The new two-counter chronograph’s silhouette is defined by its sweeping lugs and enhanced by muscular unidirectional rotating bezel and distinctive vintage chronograph pushers.
The sapphire glass is domed on both sides and has anti-reflective coating on the inside. The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph is powered by an automatic mechanical movement, Oris 771, and offers up to 48 hours of power reserve.
