Hublot Reveals Striking Novelties at LVMH Watch Week 2024

At the ongoing LVMH Watch Week, running from January 28 to February 1 in Miami, Hublot has unveiled a host of interesting novelties. From models unafraid to embrace bold colour options to special limited-edition releases that honour the very essence of watchmaking, the new launches stayed true to Hublot’s playful spirit while furthering the brand’s mechanical excellence in watchmaking.

MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium

The latest addition to Hublot’s Manufacture Piece (MP) series, this 50-piece limited edition timepiece instantly makes its presence felt. Sized at 54.1 mm x 41.5 mm, the avant-garde model (Ref. 910.NX.0001.RX) has no dial, hands or oscillating weight. Instead, it has a roller display, a circular power reserve and an inclined tourbillon automatic winding by two linear weights. The roller-type display allows the wearer to read time from top to bottom, and the power reserve is particularly expressive, with a two-tone disc (red and green) that is set coaxially to the hours and minutes.

Powered by the automatic HUB9013 Manufacture movement — that comprises 592 components — the timepiece offers a power reserve of more than 48 hours. The MP-10 is wound manually via the crown at 12 o’clock, while the time is set using a second crown located on the caseback side, a design decision that allows the watch to retain its unique rounded angles and sleek design.

Big Bang Unico Green SAXEM

Showcasing a new version of Hublot’s pioneering material SAXEM (Sapphire Aluminum Oxide and Rare Earth Mineral), this striking green timepiece (Ref. GREEN SAXEM 441.JG.4990.RT) perfectly embodies the inventiveness and originality that the brand stands for. The material — closely allied to sapphire — has an exceptionally high degree of durability and sturdiness. While sapphire is made of aluminium oxide, to which metallic oxides are added to provide colour, SAXEM is coloured with rare earth elements.

This bright green 42 mm Big Bang Unico packs all the power of SAXEM into a dense, compact diameter. The material does not receive light, but creates the illusion of emitting it. The Green SAXEM is diffused into the smallest contours of the case and the bezel that are studded with six of Hublot’s iconic titanium H-shaped screws. It’s run by the UNICO 2 calibre, a new-generation flyback chronograph, the self-winding HUB1280. This is a first as the micro-rotor HUB6035 powered the previous Big Bang SAXEM. The model is a 100-piece limited edition.

Spirit of Big Bang Jewellery

Hublot’s latest additions to its Spirit of Big Bang line include a set of 32 mm bejewelled references. The pieces, crafted in either King Gold (the Manufacture's 18 ct gold alloy, warmer than 5N gold) or stainless steel, sport the instantly recognisable tonneau case, along with a strong, feminine spirit that enhances the brilliance of the gem-setting.

The Spirit of Big Bang Jewellery Steel models (Ref. 682.SX.9000.RX.1604 and Ref. 682.SE.9000.RW.1604) and King Gold models (Ref. 682.OX.9000.RX.1604 and Ref. 682.OE.9000.RW.1604) flaunt 479 brilliant-cut diamonds, amounting to a total of 2.1cts, with the case itself set with 96 diamonds. The two Spirit of Big Bang Jewellery Rainbow references (Ref. 682.SX.9900.LR.0999 and Ref. 682.OX.9900.LR.0999) sport 493 gemstones — such as rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires and tsavorites — that evoke visuals of resplendent rainbow, featuring 58 rectangular, baguette-cut gemstones, set around the bezel.

All six references are run by the self-winding MHUB1120 that offers a power reserve of 40 hours.

Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski

The result of the brand’s newest collaboration with French artist Richard Orlinski, these two models showcase an effortless coming together of edgy design, a five-day power reserve, and a skeleton tourbillon in two brilliant pop colours. Available in either a vibrant yellow (Ref. 505.CY.119Y.RX.ORL24) or a sky blue (Ref. 505.ES.5129.RX.ORL24), the 45 mm timepieces are cased in ceramic, with the contours reminiscent of Richard Orlinski’s signature style.

While the Yellow Magic has a distinctly sunny appeal, the other is an ode to a clear blue sky; both models perfectly balance each other, thus staying true to the brand’s spirit of ‘Art of Fusion’. Both models — available in limited editions of 30 — are powered by the manually-wound HUB6021. Its components, such as the crown and the six H-shaped screws around the bezel, appear suspended in space by black PVD skeleton bridges. Between 8 and 9 o’clock, the wearer can spot the power reserve indicator; at 6 o’clock, the tourbillon keeps the time ticking. Due to the sapphire crystal faces, both on the front and the back, the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski always catches the light perfectly.
