Chopard Unveils the Happy Sport Rose Edition that Honours a Special Indian Connection

When in 1993, Caroline Scheufele (Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard) came up with the idea of the Happy Sport — a one-of-a-kind sports watch that combined steel and diamonds — it took the world of horology by storm. It epitomised a daring, free-spirited attitude and a unique joie de vivre that has continued to enchant enthusiasts over the years. This new addition to the Happy Sport collection with a striking green dial stays true to that spirit too. Born out of the loyal partnership between Chopard and Rose, one of India’s leading jewellery maisons, the Happy Sport Rose Edition (Ref. 278602-6007) is a 20-piece limited edition that serves as a testament to the craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail that both Chopard and Rose are renowned for.

Featuring a sleek, oval-shaped case (sized 31.31 mm x 29 mm) in Lucent Steel™ and 18 ct ethical rose gold, the watch is powered by Chopard’s in-house automatic movement 09.01-C with a 42-hour power reserve. The green dial with a guilloché-worked centre — the green is a nod to Rose’s heritage — acts as the perfect complement to the Lucent Steel™ and 18 ct ethical rose gold pebble bracelet. The dancing diamonds that freely twirl between two sapphire crystals, a signature innovation by Chopard, immediately arrest the attention of the wearer. The green serves as the perfect background for the gilded hour markers and hands.

The faceted crown is crafted from ethical 18 ct rose gold and set with a tsavorite. The faceted cabochons and bezel are created from ethical 18 ct rose gold too. Turning the watch over allows the wearer to admire the exhibition caseback that sports the Happy Sport logo and the special ‘Rose’ engraving. The water resistance offered is 30 metres.

On the occasion of the announcement of the collaboration, Biren Vaidya, Managing Director of Rose, shared, “The Happy Sport Oval seamlessly blends Rose’s luxury heritage with Chopard’s unparalleled expertise in watchmaking. It is a true collector's item, crafted for those who appreciate the finer things in life.”

Priced at INR 17.4 lakhs, the Happy Sport Rose Edition will be available exclusively at Rose. A truly special edition with a distinct Indian connection, the effortlessly elegant timepiece celebrates the artistry and dedication of two renowned luxury maisons.
