A Partnership of Building Culture: Montblanc Announces Navya Naveli Nanda as Friend of the Brand in India

Montblanc has named Navya Naveli Nanda, entrepreneur, social advocate and podcaster, its Friend of the Brand in India. The Maison has shaped the culture of writing since 1906; Navya has built her work around the idea that what a person says, and how they say it, can change the rooms they enter.

A Voice with Its Own Cadence

Navya belongs to a cohort quietly redrawing the contours of contemporary India, and she has done so by building rather than declaiming. At the centre of her work sits Project Naveli, the non-profit she founded to confront gender inequality by widening women’s access to education, healthcare and legal awareness. It is practical work, centred on the foundations from which independence grows.

Her podcast, What The Hell Navya, carries that ambition into speech. She invites differing perspectives to share a table and draws out subjects that polite company tends to leave undisturbed. On modern Indian womanhood, ambition and the distance between generations, she treats dialogue as a discipline: patient, curious and unafraid of disagreement.

For Montblanc, this sensibility is familiar territory. The Maison has always held that an idea gains its full life once it leaves the page, becoming a story told aloud or a mark left on someone else’s thinking. Its craft, across writing instruments, watches, leather goods and accessories, rests on the belief that well-made objects can accompany a person as they find and share their own point of view.

‍

“I’ve always believed in the power of putting your own thoughts, ideas and stories out into the world, so the Maison’s focus on self-expression really resonates with me,” says Navya. “I’m looking forward to everything we will create together and I’m excited to see where this association takes us.”

Neeraj Walia, Managing Director and CEO of Montblanc India, sees in her the temperament of a generation at ease with shaping its own story. “Montblanc has always celebrated those who choose to write their own story,” he says. “Her creativity, individuality and entrepreneurial spirit resonate beautifully with Montblanc, and we are delighted to welcome her as our Friend of the Brand in India.”

What makes the pairing persuasive is its restraint. Neither party borrows the other’s credibility; each already holds its own. Montblanc brings more than a century of devotion to the craft of expression, and Navya brings an independent, exploratory way of using her platform.
