A Legacy in Pink Gold: the New Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon 36 mm

Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the Master Ultra Thin Moon in a new 36 mm case of 18-carat pink gold (750/1000), a smaller and more refined interpretation of the collection. Conceived as a quintessential dress watch for the 21st century, the Master Ultra Thin favours clean lines, polished surfaces and long, curving lugs over embellishment. Its sophistication is understated with just a touch of modernity.

Against the glow of the polished gold, the cool, silver-coloured dial, with its subtle texture, adds a contemporary edge to the timeless aesthetics and technical virtuosity for which the collection is renowned. A combined date and moonphase display lends a quiet poetic appeal.

Refinement in Every Detail

The new case measures 36 mm in diameter and 9.3 mm in thickness, paying tribute to the proportions of round watches from the 1950s. The case, bezel and long, curved lugs are fully polished, their warm tones echoed by the gilt hour markers and faceted hands.

The dial is a finely executed exercise in symmetry and balance. Trapezoidal indexes are mirrored by Dauphine hands, each with satin-brushed and polished facets, resulting in a striking interplay of light. The date and moonphase display appear at 6 o’clock, where the moon is set against a deep blue, starry background with the dates printed in black. Each of the other elements on the dial — the hours, minutes and seconds — appear highly legible, adding to the overall readability. The black alligator strap, paired with a pin buckle in 18ct pink gold (750/1000), can be easily changed to suit the wearer.

Powering the watch is the self-winding Calibre 925, designed, manufactured and assembled at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Manufacture-Atelier in Le Sentier, in Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux. Proven over many years and regularly updated for reliability and precision, its latest versions offer a 70-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire caseback, the finishes are on full view: Côtes de Genève, bevelled bridges and blue screws, completed by an open-worked 22ct pink gold (916/1000) winding rotor. The watch offers a water resistance of 50 metres.

With the Master Ultra Thin Moon in pink gold, Jaeger-LeCoultre carries forward the art of ultra-thin watchmaking that it has pursued since the early 1900s, shaped and perfected by almost 200 years of continuous mechanical innovation within its fully integrated Manufacture-Atelier.
